Job Description

We are recruiting a Scheduler for our Manchester Dairy. Based at our Manchester Dairy, you will create production plans and schedules to facilitate efficient manufacturing and logistics operations, ensuring customer service at optimal cost. You will work in line with Muller values and standards while striving for continuous improvement.

Contract: Permanent - Full Time

Location: Manchester Dairy M17 1TU

Responsibilities
  • Create accurate and timely daily production plans and schedules to deliver customer service at optimal cost, utilizing assets efficiently.
  • Monitor plan execution, highlight risks and opportunities, and resolve or escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Implement and support network moves within the organization.
  • Review previous day reporting on non-conformances with Root-Cause Analysis (RCA), involving relevant functions.
  • Ensure plan adherence, monitor service levels, wastage, and demand versus forecast.
  • Support the implementation of business changes through system and process setup.
  • Contribute to the planning performance management system (PMS).
Muller Responsibilities
  • Actively participate in continuous business improvements.
  • Contribute to small teams with Continuous Improvement objectives within the end-to-end supply chain.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with Production, Logistics, Milk Trading, and the Planning team.
  • Understand the impact of actions on achieving site/business OGSM.
  • Support and cover for other schedulers as needed, including deputizing for senior schedulers.
  • Ensure health and safety for self and others.
  • Provide on-the-job training to new colleagues.
Learning and Development
  • Site and department induction.
  • Develop expertise in Milk and Cream categories, understanding customer requirements, and production and logistics capabilities.
  • Operational Excellence overview, including CI techniques.
  • Gain proficiency in business system tools such as AS400, Excel, and DPS.
  • Contribute to and implement planning parameters to improve KPIs.
  • Receive coaching and support to meet role competency requirements.
  • Possibility to pursue Level 3 Supply-Chain apprenticeship for career development.
