Job description
Scheduler – No.8 Sound and Vision

We're on the lookout for a highly organised, proactive Scheduler to join our growing VFX production team at No.8. This role sits at the heart of production — ensuring our artists are efficiently scheduled across multiple projects and that studio resources are used to their full potential. You'll play a key role in keeping workflows smooth, timelines on track, and the right people in the right place at the right time.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in scheduling or coordination within post-production or VFX, who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and has a knack for problem-solving and resource management.

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day scheduling of VFX artists across concurrent projects, adapting to shifting priorities and timelines
  • Work closely with producers, supervisors, and leads to stay on top of project needs and artist allocations
  • Generate and manage production purchase orders (POs)
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date schedules using CETA or similar production software
  • Proactively identify and flag scheduling conflicts, capacity issues, or potential bottlenecks — and suggest workable solutions
  • Collaborate with the wider scheduling and production team to monitor studio capacity and help forecast future resourcing needs
