Scenic Prep Technician – £23,000-£26,000 + Benefits – Croydon, CR0

The Role

Do you have hands-on skills in carpentry or workshop preparation? Are you looking to build a career in the exciting world of live events production? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you at Eclipse Global!

As a Scenic Prep Technician, you’ll work with our expert carpenters in a busy workshop, helping prepare and assemble stunning scenic elements for live events. From refurbishing scenic stock to decorating set items, your contribution will be critical to delivering outstanding event experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and assembling scenic elements for live events.
  • Load and unload vehicles with care and organisation.
  • Refurbish and repair scenic stock after events, reporting damages as needed.
  • Organise and maintain workshop stock, ensuring everything is labelled and prepared according to project requirements.
  • Decorate set pieces using materials such as felt, canvas, and paint.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the workshop.
  • Assist with on-site installations and workshop construction when required.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify shortages promptly.

The Person

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A keen interest in carpentry, workshop preparation, or the events industry.
  • Basic skills in painting and carpentry.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive work ethic.
  • An organised, collaborative, and flexible approach to tasks.
  • Experience in a workshop, conference, or creative industry (desirable but not essential).

A valid UK driving licence and the ability to work to tight deadlines will be advantageous.
