Overview

Job Title: Scenic Draughtsperson

Location: Borehamwood

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8AM - 5PM

Company Overview

A technical event production company supplying AV, lighting and scenery to create innovative live experiences for global brands, iconic venues, and immersive events.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Project Management team to understand client requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for scenic construction and project delivery.
  • Create accurate component drawings for CNC and laser cutting.
  • Advise on appropriate materials, construction techniques, and finishes to deliver high-quality results.
  • Prepare quotations using rental management software and maintain up-to-date project documentation.
  • Support workshop and project teams with technical expertise throughout delivery.
  • Attend site surveys and client meetings to collaboratively develop project solutions.
  • Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety best practices.
Candidate Requirements
  • Strong background in CAD design (2D and 3D) for scenic or event production.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and finishing techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Enthusiastic, collaborative, and willing to share expertise to support team growth.
  • Proactive in problem solving and comfortable asking for guidance when needed.
