Interaction Technical has partnered with a leading commercial vehicle maintenance provider to recruit an experienced HGV Technician (Days) in Grimsby. Salary is £38,000-£43,000 per year, with a continental shift pattern and overtime opportunities.

The role focuses on Scania fleet maintenance in a modern workshop with training and progression opportunities. The position offers full-time permanent employment with a competitive package and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Experience as HGV/HGV technician or CV technician (essential).
• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification or equivalent (essential).
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• Experience servicing and repairing heavy commercial vehicles.
• Experience working on Scania vehicles advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Carry out planned servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance on a fleet of Scania HGVs.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults.
• Complete routine maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Strip, inspect and rebuild major components including engines and gearboxes.
• Conduct vehicle testing and fault-finding to ensure fleet reliability.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and DVSA requirements.
• Record maintenance activities accurately in workshop systems.
• Support workshop efficiency by maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Collaborate with technicians and management to minimise downtime.
• Adhere to health & safety procedures and best practices.
