Role description:
Arcadis is actively seeking an Instrumentation & Control Systems Engineer with 3 or more years of experience to join our Water Division team in Wakefield, MA or Middletown, CT. You will be part of a larger dynamic SCADA / I&C team serving customers in the Northeast Region.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to work on projects involving SCADA and instrumentation automation and technology. You will provide technical and system integration services for diverse clients in industrial & municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities, supported by a highly qualified consulting firm and a nationally recognized technical staff.
Role accountabilities:
Specifications: Prepare engineering specifications, drawings, and perform calculations supporting control systems for various water/wastewater processes, including reports, studies, and calculations.
Cross-Collaboration: Coordinate with process/mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines. Review manufacturer information to ensure compliance with specifications.
Programming: Develop P&IDs, control schematics, panel layouts, and installation details. Configure PLCs/OITs, graphical HMIs, data archiving, and reporting solutions across various platforms.
Travel: Minimal travel required for site visits and meetings within the region.
Project Ownership: Manage small projects or tasks within larger projects, demonstrating multi-tasking skills. Increased responsibility will be based on performance.
