Job description

As the SCADA Design Manager at Ethical Power, you will serve as the technical authority for SCADA design, ensuring resolution of any issues or queries related to SCADA. Your role involves overseeing the project from tendering through pre-construction, design, and post-construction/commissioning phases, relying on SCADA engineers and subcontractors to deliver successful outcomes.

Design Responsibilities:

1. Act as the approving technical authority for:

• Bill of Materials
• Configuration of all communication equipment
• Collaborate with the P&C team on IED configuration and communication elements
• Support on-site SCADA and communication design issues
• Develop standard RTU/HMI designs, including signal lists
• Lead technical meetings related to SCADA and communication design
• Support cybersecurity measures
• Resolve on-site design issues or queries
• Sign off relevant sections of ERs, appendices, and schedules for new contracts
• Support SCADA design duties as needed
• Mentor team members to meet business needs
• Approve subcontractor deliverables
• Approve design risk assessments throughout the project lifecycle
• Authorize procurement of key items

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in SCADA design
• Experience with EHV substation project design up to 132kV
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Excellent knowledge of standards, policies, and procedures, including ENA standards, DNO, and EP policies
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Solid understanding of engineering design principles
• Knowledge of construction methods
• Valid driving license and flexible working hours
