Job summary

Guernsey Electricity Limited is seeking a SCADA and Control Systems Engineer to design, implement and maintain SCADA and control systems within the power station and network. You will supervise engineering resources and ensure safe operation and compliance.

The role supports the Senior Operations Engineer in operational functions and oversees capital and operational projects at the Vale PowerStation, working with the distribution network to ensure reliability.

Qualifications

HNC in engineering or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in SCADA software.
Experience in SCADA and control system design and implementation preferred.
Knowledge of PLC programming functionality.
Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP).

Responsibilities

Deliver design and development works for SCADA and control systems, meeting project requirements and standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather specifications and design architectures.
Support operations with strong knowledge of generation, network and Channel Islands Electricity Grid.
Manage SCADA and control system projects from inception to completion.
Plan and execute testing and commissioning activities for SCADA and control systems.
