Advance Grid Solutions is seeking a SCADA & Communications Engineer to support the design, integration, and delivery of supervisory control and data acquisition systems across HV substation and BESS projects in the UK.

You will work with electrical, protection, and commissioning teams in an EPC delivery environment, from concept through FAT/SAT and handover, ensuring safe, reliable, and cyber‑secure control and data connectivity.

Qualificações

• Degree or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Control, or Communications Engineering.
• Experience designing or delivering SCADA and communications systems in HV substations, grid connections, or BESS projects.
• Knowledge of IEC 61850, IEC 60870, and DNP3 standards.
• Hands-on experience with RTUs, PLCs, HMIs, and network devices from major OEMs.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop SCADA and communication architectures for HV substations and BESS installations.
• Specify, configure, and integrate RTUs, PLCs, HMIs, and network devices.
• Develop SCADA I/O schedules, communication diagrams, and ICDs.
• Define and implement communication protocols (IEC 61850, IEC 101/104, DNP3, Modbus).
• Ensure robust data, control, and telemetry links between site assets and control centres.
• Support FAT/SAT, testing, and commissioning of SCADA systems.
• Liaise with DNOs, TOs, and NGESO for telemetry and interface acceptance.
• Ensure designs comply with National Grid, DNO, ENA standards and IT/OT security.
• Collaborate with Protection & Controls, Electrical Design, and Commissioning teams.
• Maintain technical documentation via Procore or similar.
