Lead Pharmacist Primary Care

Band 8B

Full time 37 hours, or part time will be considered (minimum 22.5 hours)

Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership (AHSCP) has an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist to lead, develop, and deliver primary care pharmacy services within Aberdeenshire HSCP during a time of significant change and opportunity for the pharmacy profession.

You will jointly lead and manage the HSCP team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff, including the ongoing development and implementation of the GMS Pharmacotherapy service.

You will provide expert clinical and strategic advice on pharmaceutical matters at patient, practice, locality, AHSCP, national, and Grampian-wide levels, ensuring the safe, effective, and appropriate use of medicines.

Applicants must have a pharmacy degree, be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), and hold a relevant postgraduate qualification. Extensive clinical knowledge and experience are required, along with excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, including experience in mentoring or supervising staff.

Experience working in primary care is essential. The post-holder must own a car and be a driver, as there may be a requirement to work from home and across various locations within Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
