Experis IT is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a remote contract running until 31/10/2027. The role focuses on AWS cloud implementations, EC2, VPC, Route53, and security controls, with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and on-premises components.

You will build Terraform IaC, automate with Ansible, maintain Artifactory/Xray, and manage GitLab runners across environments. The position requires SC/NPPV3 clearance and availability for out-of-hours on-call support.

Qualifikationen

• Experience deploying AWS workloads with EC2, VPCs and IAM.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and security tooling.
• Hands-on with Terraform, Ansible, Docker and GitLab Runners.

Aufgaben

• Support AWS cloud implementations focusing on EC2, Route53, VPC, VPCE/Private Links, ELB, Secrets Manager, IAM, RDS, Control Tower.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for containerised apps using Docker-Compose on EC2 and EKS with ArgoCD or equivalent GitOps tool.
• Develop IaC with Terraform and configuration automation with Ansible.
• Maintain on-prem Artifactory & Xray, and GitLab Runners fleet.
• Write scripts to deliver platforms using Docker/Terraform/Ansible.
• Provide Out of Hours On-Call for Priority 1/2 incidents.

Role Title: DevOps Engineer

Duration: contract to run until 31/10/2027

Location: Remote

Rate: up to £736 p/d Umbrella inside IR35

Clearance required: Active SC and NPPV3 clearance is required

Role purpose/summary

• Supporting and advising on AWS cloud implementation with specific attention to EC2, Route53, VPC, VPCE/Private Links, ELB, Secrets Manager, IAM, RDS, Control Tower
• Hands on implementation of working with GitLab CICD pipelines and shifting left security (SCA, SAST, DAST)
• Implement application CICD pipelines for containerised applications both using Docker-Compose on EC2 and EKS using ArgoCD or equivalent GitOps operator
• Infrastructure As Code using Terraform
• Configuration orchestration using Ansible
• Support of jFrog Artifactory & Xray self-managed instances
• Work to maintain GitLab on-premises server and fleet of GitLab Runners using different executors
• Writing scripts to deliver/work with our platforms, such as developing Docker/Terraform/Ansible files for a variety of systems/frameworks.
• Resource to support Out of hours 'On-Call' Service for Priority 1 and Priority 2 Incidents
