Job summary

LA International is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer (SC/DV cleared) to support and maintain secure, mission-critical Microsoft infrastructure within a government/defence setting. The role requires hands-on Windows Server, Hyper-V virtualization, AD/GP administration, and strong patch management capabilities.

The successful candidate will contribute to enterprise productivity solutions, PKI/certificate management, and secure messaging environments while working on a long-term programme on-site

Qualifications

• Active SC or DV Security Clearance (Mandatory).
• Strong experience administering Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Hyper‑V virtualization technologies.
• Experience managing Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Exchange environments.
• Experience administering WSUS and enterprise patch management solutions.
• Knowledge of PKI, certificates, and secure enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience deploying and supporting Microsoft Office solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis capabilities.
• Experience supporting secure, enterprise‑scale infrastructure environments.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Support virtualized infrastructure built on Microsoft Hyper‑V platforms.
• Manage Active Directory services, including users, groups, policies, and authentication services.
• Configure and support Group Policy Objects (GPOs) across enterprise environments.
• Administer Microsoft SQL Server platforms and related services.
• Support Microsoft Exchange messaging infrastructure.
• Manage Microsoft Skype for Business environments where applicable.
• Administer WSUS and patch management activities.
• Support PKI services and certificate management.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain Microsoft Office and enterprise productivity solutions.
• Monitor system performance and proactively address infrastructure issues.
• Troubleshoot complex server, virtualization, and application-related incidents.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation, configurations, and operational records.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and operational procedures.
