Job summary

VIQU Limited is seeking a Senior Test Manager/Lead (Non-Functional) in Leeds. The role focuses on performance, load, and stress testing, with strong emphasis on observability and cloud/on-prem architectures.

You will guide test strategy, collaborate with developers and architects, and drive CI/CD integration for scalable systems. The ideal candidate will be SC Cleared, skilled in JMeter/LoadRunner, from Azure/AWS/GCP backgrounds, and proficient in scripting for automation.

Job description

SC Cleared Test Manager / Lead (Non Functional) - Leeds - Inside IR35 - Hybrid

Leading banking client to seek to recruit an established SC Cleared Test Manager / Lead within this role you will support with creating strategies and solutions for the future of system scalability and reliability!

As a Test Lead your day to day tasks will include: leading the design and performance, load/stress tools using JMeter, LoadRunner, meeting strategy and non functional requirements, working closely with developers and architects to identify issues, monitor systems using diagnostic tools such as Dynatrace.

Integrate with CI/CD pipelines and drive efficiency and improvements within both cloud and on-prem environments.

Core Experience within a Lead capacity

• Ability to design, execute, and analyse performance, load, stress, and volume tests.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Splunk) and diagnostics platforms (New Relic, Dynatrace).
• Understanding of containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and big data platforms (Databricks).
• Ability to analyse complex performance issues and provide actionable recommendations.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for test automation and data analysis.
• Knowledge of Performance Test Strategy and defining Non-Functional Requirements.
• Proven experience in Performance Testing of cloud-based architectures (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Strong knowledge of performance testing methodologies and tools (such as JMeter, LoadRunner).

Desirable Criteria

• Knowledge of middleware systems (Kafka, IBM MQ).
• Experience with ELK stack and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau).
• Exposure to CI/CD tools (Github Actions, Jenkins) and version control systems (Git).
• Familiarity with security and compliance considerations in performance testing.
• Experience integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
