Job description

Role: Technical Lead
Clearance: SC Cleared
Location: Mostly remote with occasional client visits in London
Day Rate: £600 p/d Inside IR35
Duration: Initial 6 months

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead to provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership across a major government IT transformation programme.

Key experience:

• Familiarity with central government, public sector or regulated environments.
• Background in software engineering, architecture, or enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience leading major tech programmes (CTO, Principal Engineer, Head of Architecture, etc.).
• Proven capabilityworking across complex stakeholder landscapes.
• Strong grasp of DevSecOps, Agile delivery, and digital platform operations.
• Strategic understanding of enterprise IT, cyber security, and IT governance.
• Comfortable aligning people, process, and platforms to enable change at scale.
