Job summary

A leading company in ICT Consultancy is seeking a SC cleared System State Management Architect/SME to lead and support critical design processes in an Infrastructure as Code environment. The successful candidate will possess expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation, Terraform, and Ansible, with responsibilities including creating design documentation and configuring solutions in a highly available infrastructure. Job description

An SC cleared System State Management Architect/SME is required to lead/support System State Management Design. Knowledge/experience of BroadCom VCF, Terraform, Ansible, and AD GPO is essential. The architect/SME should have knowledge of System State Management within an Infrastructure as Code environment for on-premises deployment, operating between closed domains employing VMware VCF tagging, Terraform, Ansible, and Windows GPO enforcement. The SME is responsible for high and low-level design and build documents, as well as the deployment and configuration of the solution within an on-premises highly available critical national infrastructure to achieve enhanced CAF and CIS-2 level certification. This role is remote with occasional on-site visits in Warwick and is inside IR35, requiring working via an FCSA accredited umbrella company.

Key Skills:

• Knowledge of Broadcom VMware Cloud Foundation tooling and deployment processes including tagging and DSC.
• Knowledge of GitHub Enterprise, Terraform, Ansible, and AD GPO objects for deployment and configuration management.
• Experience with local, global, client-side, server, mutable, immutable, and transient System State.
• Experience in generating and managing a Single Source of Truth and State Persistence.
• Experience in High and Low Level Design and Build documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of GitHub Enterprise, Terraform, Ansible, and AD GPO objects for deployment and configuration management.
