Job summary

MERITUS are recruiting for a Software Testing Engineer to join our defence client on an initial contract for 6 months in Stevenage with onsite delivery 4 days a week onsite and non-negotiable onsite requirement.

The role will own end-to-end software testing and validation within simulation, emulation environments, and require strong Python, experience with HP ALM/IBM ALM/ETM, DOORS and JIRA; ISTQB certification is desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering end-to-end software testing and validation.
• Strong Python programming experience.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent software testing qualification.
• Familiarity with HP ALM, IBM ALM/ETM, DOORS and JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end software testing and validation lifecycle for products in simulation/emulation environments.
• Translate formal requirements into clear testing strategies and test plans.
• Lead test execution, investigations of defects and performance issues.
• Produce test reports and support certification activities.
• Collaborate with software, systems and engineering teams to resolve issues.
