Job summary

Staffline is seeking a Software Engineer for an onsite contract in the defence sector. The role involves creating software to interface with instrumentation and test systems, supporting the complete lifecycle from requirements to delivery.

Candidates should have a degree or equivalent experience and practical knowledge in C, C++, C#, LabVIEW, TestStand, and Python. SC Security Clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent practical experience in software/electronic engineering or related discipline.
• Experience developing software for engineering or equipment-based applications.
• Familiarity with at least one relevant programming language or development environment: C, C++, C#, LabVIEW, TestStand, Python.

Responsibilities

• Analyse system and software requirements and translate them into robust software solutions.
• Contribute to software architecture, detailed design and technology decisions.
• Develop software for automated and manual test, measurement, simulation and control systems.
• Produce clear, maintainable and well-documented code.
• Develop automated test sequences, interfaces and diagnostic tools.
