Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking a Software Engineer for a contract role in Dorset. You will develop software interfacing with instrumentation, data acquisition equipment, hardware, and test systems to control sequences and produce traceable evidence of compliance.

Candidates will have a degree or equivalent in software/engineering, hands-on experience with C/C++, and exposure to LabVIEW/TestStand; familiarity with version control and engineering environments preferred.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent in software/engineering.
Experience in engineering/software for instrumentation and test systems.
Proficiency in C/C++, LabVIEW, Python and related testing tools.

Responsibilities

Analyse system and software requirements and translate them into robust software solutions.
Contribute to software architecture, design and technology choices.
Develop software for automated and manual test, measurement, simulation and control systems.
Produce clear, maintainable and documented code.
Develop automated test sequences, interfaces, instrument drivers and data-processing functions.
Participate in complete software and system development lifecycle from requirements to integration.
Define and perform unit, integration and system testing and produce test evidence.
