iO Associates is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with SC clearance to join a defence-focused team in the Farnborough area. You will develop secure applications, design backend systems and drive cloud deployments on AWS or Azure.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience with Git in collaborative environments.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing cloud solutions on AWS or Azure.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python or Go.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design, develop, and maintain robust software solutions.
• Manage code using Git, ensuring efficient version control and team collaboration.
• Deploy and optimise cloud-based services on AWS or Azure for scalability and performance.
• Design and implement backend systems using Java, Python, or Go.
• Use Docker for containerisation to standardise deployments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline delivery processes.
• Write clean, well-documented code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews to uphold quality standards.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and foster continuous improvement.
• Understand DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
