Our defence sector client is currently recruiting SC cleared Safety Engineers for initial 6-month contracts. The contracts offer a hybrid working arrangement of 2-3 days onsite in Bristol and the remainder working from home.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of policy and process to satisfy the corporate standards for Acquisition Safety Management.
- Work with colleagues at all levels to ensure compliance with relevant UK and EU legislation and regulations, MOD regulations and Policy.
- Support the development and management of effective Safety Management Systems. Identify and analyse hazards and contribute to the identification and evaluation of risk reduction measures, ensuring proper documentation and management.
- Specify safety-related systems architectures up to the highest safety integrity levels.
- Manage contractual aspects to ensure safety requirements are captured and oversee contractors performing safety activities.
- Provide informed safety advice to decision-makers through Project Safety Panels.
EXPERIENCE
- Hold, or be working towards, Practitioner status in System Safety.
- Possess Professional Registered status or demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Be a member of a relevant Professional Safety Institute or an equivalent body.
- Experience in using ASEMS and System Safety Management Tools & Processes.
- Possess Level 4 NQF in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience in providing technical advice and delivering safety products or services.
