Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience as a Platform Engineer in secure or regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes administration and CI/CD tooling.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server/Desktop and Red Hat Linux (RHEL).
• Proficiency with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python preferred).
• Understanding of network fundamentals (switching, routing, firewalls, VLANs).

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and enhance infrastructure hosting for engineering and development environments
• Carry out physical and virtual infrastructure builds (network, storage, compute)
• Configure, optimise, and troubleshoot Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server/Desktop environments
• Contribute to the design and integration of new solutions to meet evolving business needs
• Support CI/CD tooling and containerised workloads (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Ensure environments are aligned with governance, security, and accreditation requirements
• Maintain design documentation and knowledge bases for transparency and collaboration

Skills & Experience Required

• 3+ years\' experience as a Platform Engineer in secure or regulated environments
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes administration, containerisation, and CI/CD tooling
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server/Desktop and Red Hat Linux (RHEL)
• Proficiency with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python preferred)
• Understanding of network fundamentals (switching, routing, firewalls, VLANs, VNets)
• Experience with VMware, Citrix VDI, and virtualised environments
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset
• Familiarity with security classifications and Secure by Design principles

Desirable

• Industry certifications (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, CCDP)
• Experience working with defence programmes or MOD environments
