Job summary

LA International is offering a Production Support Database Engineer role on a 12-month contract with extensions. The position is hybrid, with 1 day per week onsite in London, Birmingham or Sheffield and flexible arrangements.

Daily rate is £350–£400 via Umbrella, providing security-cleared opportunities on a high-profile program. The candidate will work in a great team, supporting Oracle backend databases, handling incidents and changes, and performing root cause analysis when required.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of Oracle Database concepts.
• Ability to write and troubleshoot SQL queries.
• Joins, subqueries, views and indexes.
• Data validation and data analysis.
• Understanding of Oracle schemas, tables, and relationships.

Responsibilities

• L2 Production Support experience with Oracle backend databases.
• Incident, Problem and Change Management responsibilities.
• Application support involving Oracle databases and data must be accurate.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and issue resolution.
• Monitoring and timely ticket resolution.
