Job description

Our defence sector client is currently recruiting SC cleared Mechanical Engineers for initial 6-month contracts. The contracts offer a hybrid working arrangement of 2-3 days onsite in Bristol and the remainder working from home.

Responsibilities
  • Manage engineering technical requirements (definition, architecture, integration, contract assessment, and change management).
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of system requirements, including in-service support.
  • Provide specialist advice on the application of safety and environmental management systems.
  • Determine quality management and assurance approaches, ensuring technical risks are understood and managed.
  • Participate in identification, selection, evaluation, performance verification, and demonstrations within their technical area.
  • Produce and contribute to Engineering Management Plans.
Experience
  • Professionally Registered status or demonstrated equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Member of a relevant Professional Engineering/Science Institute or equivalent body.
  • Relevant Level 4 (or higher) qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of providing technical advice and delivering successful engineering outcomes.
  • Technical experience in their discipline or specialist area in various contexts.
