Job summary

Evodia Limited, in partnership with a leading defence client, seeks a Mechanical & Automotive Lead for a pivotal MFP project in the Bristol area. The role offers a hybrid pattern with two days onsite weekly, and a contract to 31 March 2027.

Day rate up to £600 (ex VAT), inside IR35, reflecting seniority and specialist skills. The candidate will drive hazard analysis, risk mitigation, and safety case activities across verification, validation and system testing, with responsibilities spanning

Qualifications

Hazard identification and risk analysis in complex systems.
Experience managing risk reduction and non-conformances.
Strong background in system testing, validation and verification.
Experience in engineering assurance, audits, and technical reviews.
Ability to review and author technical documentation and oversee safety processes.

Responsibilities

Identify and analyse technical hazards and project risks, supporting risk mitigation strategies.
Review and approve contractor technical data, ensuring compliance and managing issues through to closure.
Support legalisation assessments, technical assurance, and manage non-conformances.
Oversee system testing, verification, validation, and evaluation processes.
Participate in assurance activities, audits, and technical reviews.
Contribute to safety panels and hazard log working groups, supporting safety assurance.
