Job summary

Sanderson Government & Defence is seeking an experienced Data Governance Analyst (SC Cleared) to drive improvements in data quality by addressing issues at their source. The role is hybrid (2-3 days on-site) with a £570 per day rate inside IR35.

You will profile data, investigate defects, define business rules, and design data quality controls, collaborating with both technical and business teams to embed sustainable improvements into BAU ownership.

Qualifications

• Active SC Clearance is essential and must be held.
• Proven experience in data quality and data governance.
• Strong SQL skills to interrogate and analyse datasets.
• Experience collaborating with technical and business teams to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Profile and analyse data to identify quality issues affecting reporting.
• Investigate defects and trace issues to source systems or processes.
• Define and document business rules to improve data quality and consistency.
• Design reconciliation processes and data quality controls.
• Work with business and technical teams to implement sustainable improvements.
• Support transition of data quality controls into operational ownership.
• Promote best practices in data governance and data quality management.
