Outsource UK is actively seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to manage vulnerability detection and governance within a UK-based defence context. You will operate with Tenable Nessus, ensuring accurate CMDB coverage and timely remediation tracking.

The role requires current SC clearance, sole UK nationality, and strong knowledge of Windows and Linux/Unix systems. On-site work in Newport offers hands-on security operations exposure.

Qualifications

• Vulnerability management experience in a security operations environment.
• Knowledge of Nessus vulnerability scanning and remediation workflows.
• Current SC clearance and sole UK nationality due to security restrictions.

Responsabilités

• Run vulnerability detection scans and ensure CMDB coverage.
• Analyse vulnerabilities at Critical/High and assign to service owners.
• Raise tickets and communicate vulnerabilities via email or Remedy.
• Follow up on remediation and chase for resolution details.
• Escalate non-remediation through standard processes and risk tabs.
• Provide monthly KPI reports on vulnerability status to management.
