Job summary

CMR is seeking an experienced Planner (SC Cleared) to join our Glasgow-based hybrid team. You will develop and maintain robust construction schedules, align estimates with scope, and support risk and cost integration. Immediate start with a focus on delivering value across the UK.

Ideal candidates have solid scheduling experience, Primavera P6 proficiency, and strong communication skills. This full-time role requires Glasgow on-site presence two days a week and active SC clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a construction or infrastructure environment.
• Solid scheduling experience with Primavera P6.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to build schedules from first principles and review supplier submissions.
• Understanding of schedule hierarchy, integration, governance and change control.
• Familiarity with NEC or FIDIC contracts.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
• Ability to support planning discussions with internal teams, clients, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of robust, realistic and defensible construction schedules.
• Develop schedule estimates aligned to project scope and strategy.
• Define Basis of Estimate for schedule scope, including key assumptions and constraints.
• Build and maintain project schedules with governance and integration.
• Coordinate with Cost and Risk teams to align estimates and schedule impacts.
• Support the QSRA process with the Risk team.
• Identify and manage internal/external interfaces and milestones.
• Engage stakeholders to secure buy-in to the Programme’s schedule.
• Review supplier and contractor schedules for logic and deliverability.
• Support validation of schedule estimates using benchmark data and BIM.
