SC Cleared C++ Software Architect

Bristol - Onsite 5 days a week

12 months contract

£70 per hour

Overview of department:

Our team, at our Bristol facility, develops solutions for the next generation of Air Defence Systems; creating evolving products while maintaining our reputation for safety, performance, and dependability.

Responsibilities:

This is a hands-on role requiring the continued design and development of Command and Control architectures and the instantiations for future products. It is ideal for a proactive Software Engineer who takes initiative.

Skillset/experience required:

• A strong background in software engineering, its realization, and system-wide impact.
• Experience working with C++.
• Experience with software architecture models.
• Collaborative, open approach to development, with the ability to work well in a team and maintain momentum.
• Experience across the entire software development process, from engaging with requirement authorities to automated target integration and validation, supported by effective documentation.
• Experience with new tools, techniques, and approaches to improve processes, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Experience with other languages or tools such as Ada, QT.
• Knowledge of Real-Time Multi-Threaded Applications.
• Knowledge of standards such as DefStan 00-55, DO-178C, IEC61508, and restricted coding standards like MISRA C++.
