Purpose of the Role:

We seek a customer-focused, enthusiastic individual for our Software Discovery and Packaging Team, with a genuine interest in solving IT issues, understanding client needs, and collaborating with IT support teams. The team manages application lifecycle management, including delivery of applications, OS gold builds, and ongoing management.

Detailed Job Responsibilities:

• Experience with application lifecycle management in enterprise environments, especially during desktop transformation projects.
• Strong application packaging skills using Flexera AdminStudio, InstallShield, IS Recapture, and ORCA.
• Expertise in MSI technology, including transforms.
• Experience with large OS migration projects, preferably Windows 7 and Windows 10.
• Data analysis and reporting skills.
• Good communication skills, including customer-facing interactions.
• Managing and maintaining SCCM 2012 or higher environments.
• Experience with Operating System Deployment (OSD) tools like MDT.
• Knowledge of SCCM/WSUS patching technologies.
• Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory (2003-2016) and GPOs.
• Experience with software deployment, support, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to contribute to desktop engineering standards and processes.
• Experience with large-scale software deployments, e.g., Microsoft Office.
• Ability to identify process changes or errors and maintain documentation.
• Work within contractual guidelines and support shadow IT considerations.
• Be politically savvy, understanding customer and support team priorities.

Essential Skills:

• Basic understanding of IT project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Knowledge of project management tools and techniques.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Active Directory (2003-2016) and GPOs.
• Understanding of cloud technologies and network topology.
• Experience packaging applications for Windows 7 and Windows 10.
• Experience with complex application packaging (e.g., Autodesk, MS Office).
• Support and troubleshooting skills for software deployment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and adaptability.

• Experience with application layering (VMware App Volumes).
• Scripting skills using BAT, PowerShell, VB, C#.
