BSW Carlisle

3 Rotating Shift Pattern

Working within our Engineering department, under the leadership of the Saw Shop Supervisor and Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for the service and maintenance of the sawmill cutting edges, to specification, quality and schedule.

• Specifically, some responsibilities of a Saw Doctor include:
• Repairing a wide range of sawmill saws.
• Replacing saw blades.
• Sharpening, Levelling and tensioning saw blades.
• Follow scheduled tool change and maintenance schedules.
• Work alongside engineering & operation teams to resolve cutting issues related to tooling.
  
  

About you:

Already an experienced Saw Doctor within the Timber industry or a relevant tool room, you technically minded and hold you work to a high level. Working in a Modern 5’s orientated saw shop, you are confident in working alone or alongside a small team. In addition, you’ll have;

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good computer skills.
• A high level of organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Problem solving skills.
• The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a busy environment.
