Job description

We’re on a mission to make money work for everyone.

We’re waving goodbye to the complicated and confusing ways of traditional banking.

With our hot coral cards and get-paid-early feature, combined with financial education on social media and our award winning customer service, we have a long history of creating magical moments for our customers!

We’re not about selling products - we want to solve problems and change lives through Monzo ️

Today, millions of customers trust Monzo with their savings. But we’re only just getting started with our mission to help customers reach their financial goals, and we’re looking for a Savings Commercial Manager to help us.

As the Savings Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for developing and operating the commercial strategy for Monzo’s savings products, and helping the Savings Team meet its goals.

  • Developing models and tools that support commercial forecasts for Monzo’s savings products
  • Recommending pricing strategies for each of Monzo’s savings products, and conducting regular reviews to understand their commercial performance
  • Analysing customer and competitor data to identify trends and identify opportunities
  • Collaborating closely with product, marketing, treasury and finance teams to align your approach with Monzo’s wider goals
  • Monitoring and reporting on performance to Monzo’s executive leadership
  • You have been part of a team responsible for pricing retail savings products, which might include instant access savings or fixed term savings
  • You are capable of developing and operating commercial models in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets with limited guidance, and capable of complementing this with other data resources (e.g. SQL, Python) where required
  • You are capable of analysing customer behaviour (e.g. elasticity of demand) and applying the implications to commercial forecasts
  • You are comfortable working with a range of stakeholders, especially treasury, finance and product teams
  • You have excellent communication skills, with experience preparing reports and analysis for senior stakeholders
  • Experience developing pricing and commercial strategies for new savings products, as well as a good understanding of liquidity and market risk management framework is a plus!

Not ticking every box? That’s totally okay! Studies show that women and people of colour might hesitate to apply unless they meet every single requirement. At Monzo, we’re dedicated to creating a diverse and welcoming team. If you’re passionate about this role and keen to learn and grow with us, we encourage you to apply— even if you don’t have everything that's listed just yet. Drop us your application, we’d love to hear from you!
