Southampton City Council’s Lordshill Library is seeking a friendly Saturday Library Assistant to join our team. You will support local residents with information, leisure and reading needs, read stories to children, assist visitors with digital services, and help customers find books and resources.

Saturday Library Assistant – Part Time Vacancy
We are looking for someone to join our team in Lordshill Library as a Saturday Library Assistant. Libraries are open to all and central to their communities, so you will be meeting and supporting local residents with their information, leisure and reading needs every day. You might be reading stories to under-fives, helping people with their digital needs, or supporting people to find the books and information resources they need.
You will be instrumental in promoting libraries and a love of reading to everyone, especially families. You will enjoy helping people and be confident in assisting customers with the technology available in and through libraries.

Rota for 8 hours per week role:
Thursday 5.00pm -7:00pm (2.0 hours)

Salary: The salary band for this role is £25,614 - £26,016 per annum (pro rata). The starting salary is £25,614 with annual progression through the salary bands.
