What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain the overall structure and operations of the Brookman’s Park lab and its supporting data center.

• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to resolve lab needs, prioritize resources, and ensure alignment with project objectives.

• Provide input on budgetary requirements for lab equipment, maintenance, and operational expenses.

• Assisting in implementing a range of service methodologies, including incident management, problem management, capacity management, and more.

• Maintaining existing co-located and in-house Data Centers

• Coordinate technical and IT issues on site and provide support

• Provide support and maintain lab system access and automation to support testing of various satellite terminals Over the Air and via Satellite simulator

• Update lab device and cable management documentation and relevant system database like Patch Manager.

• Make sure health and safety needs are carried out for lab tenants and visitors

• Facilitate and coordinate lab installs including the data center/lab and antenna gantry

The day-to-day

• Develop and document standard methodologies for lab utilization, equipment maintenance, data management, and safety. Updating lab management tools such as Patch Manager.

• Supervise the acquisition, installation, calibration, and maintenance of RF and network test equipment and data center infrastructure.

• Run the day-to-day operations of the 60-cabinet data center, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

• Engage in practical testing and addressing issues (RF, networking, servers, etc) as the situation demands.
• Auditing lab and storage items

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in information technology (servers, networking, lab management)

• Proficient understanding of RF engineering/VSAT principles and practices

• Experience with hands-on networking configuring and resolving problems with switches/routers

• Ability to develop and implement efficient lab processes that can be demonstrated

• Experience with data center operations and management.

• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.

• Strong organizational, attendtion to detal and time management abilities.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Show knowledge Linux OS, VMware, AWS and automation systems
• Ability to be onsite at out Lab facility

What will help you on the job

• Experience with a variety of RF test equipment and software. VSAT installation experience is a nice to have.
• Experience with networking. Cisco certification CCNA/CCNP or JUNOS equivalent ideal.

• Knowledge of data center infrastructure, networking, and DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) including experience with Patch Manager.

• Experience with lab automation tools and software.

• Shows exceptional abilities in effectively addressing and solving challenges.
• Strong logistical and coordination abilities (installation of new VSAT or preparation for customer demonstrations).
