Octopus Computer Associates seeks a SAS Architect/Technical Lead (Viya) with SC clearance for a Telford-based role with remote work. The contract runs 6+ months, at a daily rate of £656 inside IR35, with onsite presence required in Telford two days weekly.

You will own architecture across Legacy SAS and Viya, guide data warehouse integrations, and define migration strategies while ensuring security, performance, and data quality. The role involves collaboration with engineers and vendors.

Formación

• Strong experience as a SAS Architect or Senior SAS Technical Lead.
• Hands-on architectural work with Legacy SAS (Base SAS, SAS Grid, SAS 9.x).
• Proven experience integrating SAS with enterprise data warehouses.
• Experience in regulated or large-scale enterprise environments.

Responsabilidades

• Own the architecture and technical design of SAS-based solutions across Legacy SAS and SAS Viya environments.
• Provide design governance for SAS services in line with data platform standards.
• Define integration patterns between data warehouses and SAS platforms.
• Advise on migration and modernisation from Legacy SAS to Viya.
• Collaborate with data engineers, platform teams and vendors to resolve issues.
• Ensure security, performance, scalability and data quality.
