Overview

SAP Time Functional Consultant – Broughton, Chester (3 days a week onsite / 2 remote). 12 months. Up to £86.00 per hour Inside IR35 / Umbrella.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SAP Time Functional Consultant to join the team with exposure to SAP Time functionality and ongoing time projects, including data gathering and resolving functionality issues.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements related to time and attendance processes (working time, absences, overtime, shift planning).
• Design and configure SAP Time Management (PT) solutions, including time schemas (PE01), time rules (PE02), time types, absence types, work schedules, and public holiday calendars.
• Ensure seamless integration of SAP Time Management with other SAP modules, particularly SAP Payroll (PY), Organizational Management (OM), and Personnel Administration (PA).
• Develop functional specifications for custom developments, enhancements, and reports; work with ABAP developers to ensure accurate implementation.
• Conduct and support testing phases (unit, integration, and user acceptance testing) and manage defect resolution.
• Create and maintain system documentation, configuration guides, process flows, and end-user training materials.
• Provide post-go-live support, troubleshoot issues, and conduct end-user training for effective adoption.
• Identify opportunities for process and system improvements; stay up to date with SAP best practices and new technologies.

Key Skills & Experience

• Experience: Proven SAP Functional Consultant with a strong focus on SAP Time Management (PT) and at least 5 years of hands-on configuration and implementation experience.
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of SAP Time Management processes, including positive and negative time recording, time evaluation, and time data integration.
• Configuration: Expertise in configuring time schemas and rules, work schedules, public holiday calendars, and various attendance/absence types.
• Integration: Solid understanding of SAP Time Management integration with other SAP HCM modules, especially SAP Payroll.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
• Communication: Effective communication with stakeholders at all levels, from end-users to senior management.
• Project Lifecycle: Experience on at least two full-cycle SAP implementation projects.
