Qualifications

• Hands-on SAP S/4HANA configuration across Finance and Procurement.
• Experience migrating from SAP ECC to S/4HANA Private Cloud or equivalent.
• Experience with integration testing and UAT activities and end-user training.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to fit-to-standard workshops across Finance and Procurement processes.
• Review configuration designs and functional specifications from implementation partners.
• Own defined areas of the SAP solution and ensure design quality throughout delivery.
• Support integration design across S/4HANA, Concur, Ariba and BlackLine.
• Gather, analyse and document business and technical requirements.
• Participate in integration testing and User Acceptance Testing activities.

SAP Systems Analyst - S/4HANA Transformation 2-Year Fixed Term Contract Manchester Airport / Hybrid Working

The Role

As a SAP Systems Analyst, you'll play a key role in MAG's ambitious Finance Transformation Programme as we migrate from SAP ECC to S/4HANA Private Cloud. Working within our Technology team, you'll help shape and deliver a modern SAP Finance and Procurement landscape, supporting core S/4HANA functionality alongside integrated solutions including Concur, Ariba and BlackLine. You'll work closely with Finance colleagues, Product teams, Solution Architects and implementation partners to ensure our future SAP ecosystem delivers the capabilities, controls and efficiencies required to support MAG's long-term strategy. You'll be involved throughout the full programme lifecycle, from fit-to-standard workshops and solution design through to testing, go-live and post-implementation stabilisation. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving business challenges through technology, challenging design assumptions and ensuring high-quality SAP solutions are delivered. As the programme progresses, you'll become a trusted technology partner to Finance and Procurement stakeholders, helping to optimise processes, improve user experience and drive continuous improvement across the SAP landscape.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Contributing to fit-to-standard workshops across Finance and Procurement processes.
• Reviewing and constructively challenging configuration designs and functional specifications produced by implementation partners.
• Taking ownership of defined areas of the SAP solution and ensuring design quality throughout delivery.
• Supporting integration design across S/4HANA, Concur, Ariba and BlackLine.
• Gathering, analysing and documenting business and technical requirements.
• Participating in integration testing and User Acceptance Testing activities.
• Creating realistic test scenarios that reflect end-to-end Finance and Procurement processes.
• Supporting end-user training and business readiness activities.
• Assisting with go-live, hypercare and stabilisation activities.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance the effectiveness of the SAP Finance landscape.

What Will Make You Successful in the Role?

You'll bring functional SAP expertise together with strong analytical and stakeholder management skills. You'll be comfortable working in a transformation environment and able to bridge the gap between business requirements and technology solutions.

We're looking for someone with:

• Hands-on SAP S/4HANA configuration experience across Finance and Procurement processes.
• Strong understanding of the Universal Journal and the key differences between ECC and S/4HANA.
• Experience of at least one full SAP implementation lifecycle from discovery through to go-live.
• Experience supporting period-end and year-end close activities within a live SAP environment.
• Experience reviewing and challenging solution designs and functional specifications.
• Knowledge of at least two of the following solutions: Concur, Ariba or BlackLine.
• Strong business analysis and systems analysis capability.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving, documentation and critical-thinking skills.

It Would Be Great (But Not Essential) If You Also Have:

• Experience across Concur, Ariba and BlackLine.
• Knowledge of SAP Group Reporting.
• Experience working within a RISE with SAP or S/4HANA Private Cloud environment.
• Understanding of Clean Core principles and SAP extensibility approaches.
• Experience with parallel accounting and multi-ledger configurations.
• Exposure to embedded analytics and Finance reporting within S/4HANA.
• SAP S/4HANA certification in Finance, FICO or related modules.
