Job summary

Greencore, a leading UK food producer, seeks an SAP Supply Chain Specialist to drive the SAP S/4HANA strategy across global supply chains. You’ll work with senior IT and business leaders to shape the platform and deliver high‑quality, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities include assessing the current SAP landscape, defining modernization roadmaps, and coordinating with vendors to implement compliant, efficient processes. A strong Agile background and Jira/CALM usage are essential.

The SAP Supply Chain Specialist will be accountable for supporting the development and driving forward the overall product strategy for the SAP S4/HANA technology platform, which will act as the foundation to our digital transformation at a global level over the next decade.

As an SAP S4/HANA technology expert, the role holder will provide strategic and technical consultancy, guidance and advice to senior stakeholders setting both the platform strategy and design. They will also partner with IT technology colleagues and System Integrators.

The role will seek opportunities to re‑engineer processes and re‑architect solutions to deliver high‑quality, innovative, fully architected & strategic solutions. This will be accomplished by executing key initiatives through the full project management lifecycle working with internal and external IT professionals.

What you’ll be doing:

• Collaborate with senior business and IT stakeholders and the Senior Product Manager to develop the product strategy aligning it with overall business objectives.
• Act as a trusted advisor, build and maintain relationships with IT colleagues and senior stakeholders to develop a clear understanding of business needs; ensure cost‑effective delivery of IT services and respond with agility to changing priorities.
• Complete comprehensive assessments of the existing SAP landscape, evaluating its effectiveness, scalability and alignment with business goals. Identify improvement opportunities and develop a roadmap for application modernization, including the use of AI agents and automation; present the final assessment to Design Authority and SteerCo.
• Define and govern project scope in the SCM/EWM space, complete deliverables within agreed timelines, and manage backlog items from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Collaborate with external vendors and partners, build relationships, and ensure delivery of high‑quality services and solutions. Evaluate proposals and conduct technical configuration/customisation of solutions that meet customer needs and provide a great user experience aligned with clean core principles.
• Work with other teams to ensure smooth transition and user acceptance of transformed applications.
• Bring insight of industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to enable improvers to assess and recommend suitable tools, frameworks and methodologies to drive efficiency, scalability and maintainability of applications.
• Ensure all products supporting the business are compliant with internal security, risk management policies and practices and external regulatory and statutory requirements.
• Work with the support organization to troubleshoot incidents and escalations, providing resolution to break‑fix issues and proactively seek ways to reduce the volume of support work by identifying common issues and proposing improvements.

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of experience in SAP and business/industry.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, finance, business administration or a related field, or equivalent SAP certification and work experience.
• Proven end‑to‑end delivery of multiple SAP S4/HANA transformation programmes (Build, Test, Deploy and Hyper‑care). Experience with template rollout.
• Mandatory SAP S4/HANA MM and EWM configuration experience; good knowledge of the technical and process integration across SCM and other functional areas such as P2P.
• Track record in successful technical development, solution design, programme and product delivery, and service management; experience managing a continuous improvement backlog.
• Experience with multi‑track SAP landscapes and BTP capabilities.
• Demonstrated breadth of knowledge and solution delivery experience across the end‑to‑end supply chain processes and integration points with other processes (e.g. O2C, P2P, RTR).
• Experience working with multiple third parties.
• Excellent relationship management, strong influence and communication skills.
• Deep content knowledge of the respective functional areas (business operating models, processes & products). Best practice, fit to standard and clean core principles demonstrated.
• Understanding of Agile Software Development; experience with Scrum, Kanban and other methodologies. Experience using tools such as Jira and CALM.
• Beneficial experience with SAP S/4 HANA upgrades.
• High‑quality artefact approach, creation and maintenance.
