Job Opportunity: SAP FPSL Functional Consultant

Location: London (Hybrid – 2 days on-site)

Duration: 9 months

We are collaborating with a leading global consultancy renowned for delivering large-scale transformation programmes across finance and technology sectors. They are currently seeking an experienced SAP FPSL Functional Consultant to support the implementation of SAP Financial Products Subledger (FPSL) within a complex, multi-source system landscape in the banking/financial services industry.

The primary focus of this role will be on IFRS 9 accounting rules, event-based accounting models, and financial integration. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Accounting, and IT teams to ensure the FPSL framework aligns with regulatory standards and business needs.

Skills & Experience Required

• Experience with SAP FPSL in banking or financial services (preferred).
• Strong understanding of IFRS 9, subledger accounting, and financial instruments.
• Experience in integrating FPSL with multiple source systems.
• Knowledge of ledger setup, account determination, and reporting structures.
• Familiarity with multi-entity, multi-GAAP environments.
• Background in treasury and risk management is advantageous.
• SAP FPSL certification (or earlier versions like SAP Bank Analyser, Smart AFI) is a plus.
