Howdens Joinery is looking for an experienced SAP Solution Architect to join our Supply and Enterprise Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and engaging Solution Architect to work on several interesting and challenging supply chain transformation projects and support the strategic vision of Howdens.

Permanent role, based at our offices in Howden, Yorkshire, Brackmills Business Park, Northampton, or Raunds, Northamptonshire. The role requires onsite presence at least 3 days a week with the option for home working.

What will I be doing as a Solution Architect?

• Reporting to the Lead Architect, working on transformation projects with strong solution design skills in complex enterprise environments across procurement, logistics, manufacturing, finance, HR, and service lines.
• Aligning Business, Data, Integration, Security, Application, and Technology domains to create robust solutions.
• Collaborating with stakeholders, product management, analysts, developers, engineers, project managers, and the architecture community to deliver high-quality, feasible designs.
• Overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of deliverables, ensuring solutions are delivered on scope, time, budget, and quality, to serve our customers effectively.

What do I need to qualify for this Solution Architect role?

• Experience in vertically integrated Supply Chain businesses and supporting complex solutions.
• Hands-on SAP project delivery experience, with expertise in at least two core SAP modules.
• Ability to guide design authority in complex, enterprise-scale environments.
• Confident, engaging, with a strong work ethic and passion for transformation and innovation.
• A pragmatic problem solver with a can-do attitude, capable of exploring options and devising solutions.
• Support for overall business strategy, transformation, and technology direction.
• Knowledge of modern integration platforms, system integration methods, and cloud hosting platforms.
• Understanding of TOGAF, other architecture methodologies, and familiarity with emerging technologies and trends.
