Job description

Join our growing SAP practice as a SAP Senior Manager Global Trade Services (GTS) Consultant. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading Systems Integrator, helping global clients transform their trade compliance and customs processes through SAP S/4HANA and GTS.

Due to the nature of our clients, SC-level security clearance is mandatory. To be eligible, candidates must be British nationals who have lived in the UK continuously for the past five years. Currently, we are unable to consider dual nationals.

Role Summary

As a SAP Senior Manager GTS Consultant, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of SAP GTS solutions across complex, global programmes. You will lead client workshops, manage workstreams, mentor junior consultants, and ensure solutions remain compliant with international trade regulations. You will also contribute to pre-sales activities including RFPs, solution design, and proposal development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SAP GTS workstreams across the full project lifecycle: design, build, test, deploy, and hypercare.
• Own solution design for Compliance Management, Customs Management, Risk Management, and Trade Preference.
• Conduct requirement-gathering sessions, perform fit-gap analysis, and align solutions to global trade best practices.
• Configure SAP GTS and integrate with S/4HANA Logistics, MM, SD, TM, and external broker/customs systems.
• Support pre-sales efforts: scope definition, solution presentations, effort estimates, and proposal creation.
• Ensure compliance with global trade regulations (e.g., ITAR, EAR, EU Dual-Use, HMRC, CBP, CBSA, AES, ATLAS).
• Prepare functional specifications for WRICEF developments and oversee testing (SIT, UAT).
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to building practice accelerators and reusable assets.

Required Experience

• Proven experience in SAP GTS with extensive hands-on configuration.
• Workstream lead on at least two end-to-end SAP GTS implementations.
• Strong knowledge of global trade compliance and customs processes across multiple geographies.
• Hands-on experience with SAP GTS 11.0, 2020+, integrated with S/4HANA.
• Proven track record in multi-country rollouts, ideally within Aerospace & Defence, Manufacturing, or Life Sciences.
• Experience delivering in SI Partner environments with onshore/offshore models.
• Exposure to pre-sales activities including RFP responses, solution shaping, and client demos.

Tools, Methods & Certifications

• SAP S/4HANA & SAP GTS configuration expertise.
• Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager/ChaRM, Jira/ALM.
• Knowledge of Tricentis qTest/Tosca or other test automation tools.
• SAP Certified Application Professional – GTS (preferred).
• Understanding of AEO, ITAR/EAR, and customs authority integration desirable.
