Job summary

Babcock is seeking a SAP Security Architect and Team Lead to own SAP security across ERP and cloud environments. Based at Lakeside near Cosham, Portsmouth, the role combines architecture, leadership, and hands-on design to protect national security and critical operations.

You will lead a skilled team, set strategic direction, and ensure delivery of secure SAP solutions across ECC, S4, IDM, BTP and related modules. A BPSS/SC clearance path applies.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and leading SAP security across large programmes or complex estates.
• Proven ability to lead mixed teams including permanent staff, contractors and third party suppliers.
• Expert knowledge of SAP Authorisation concepts, including Single/Composite roles and derivation.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP Security design, configuration and support across ERP and cloud solutions.
• Collaborate within SAP Solution Architect/Design Team and Change Control Board.
• Mentor and develop a team of SAP security specialists to ensure high performance.
• Drive security audits, governance, and compliance across multiple SAP systems and modules.
• Oversee internal and external SAP security audits to ensure best practice.
