SAP S/4 Finance Process Expert - Deal Accounting and Reporting

Whitehall Resources currently require an experienced Enterprise Process Expert to work with a key client based in Luton

*Please note this requires 3 days onsite weekly*

Description:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated S/4 HANA Deal Accounting and Reporting Enterprise Process Expert to join our team. In this role, you will support and drive strategic business improvements through the Programme and S/4HANA. You will act as the central point of expertise within the company regarding deal accounting, royalites and colloborations.

Typical Accountabilities:
• Acts as a source of knowledge in one or more areas of Post Deal Finance, defining and communicating current and future business improvement needs and opportunities
• Maintains the global process and develop as opportunities arise with regards to improved capability in SAP S/4 HANA
• Prioritises business improvement issues and delivers own business improvement findings and recommendations to a cross-functional team, specifically covering the creation of the finance, accounting and reporting process for joint investments, royalties and divestitures activities
• Exploit standard SAP S/4 HANA functionality where possible and working with the Axial solution for general accounting and reporting for Deals and Royalties for external and management reporting
• Collaborate with the P2P and O&D2C EPO areas to ensure that appropriate royalties are accrued, billed and paid
• Enables cross-functional sharing of business improvement ideas
• Supports project managers in implementing changes to improve the way various functions and teams perform
• Oversees specialised research to deliver new proposals, and amalgamates findings so they can be used to underpin new business initiatives
• Co-ordinates the development and presentation of best options or working models to enhance business continuity or improve business performance
• Keeps own knowledge of best practices on business information and intelligence such as Lean Sigma process current
• Leads and implements globally agreed Business Improvement strategies including process and technology related to the function
• Pivot, when required, to other areas within the deliver for S/4HANA (Axial Programme)

Essential:
• Strong Accountancy experience / Strong knowledge of double entry
• Experience in SAP/ ERP transformation and Business Improvement, in particular using SAP/ S/4HANA
• Previous experience with a Big 4 / Finance department in a multi- national organisation
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline
• Joint Operations accounting experience would be advantageous

Desirable:
• Advanced degree within field
• Professional certification
• Project management experience
