Macmillan Publishers, a leader in the publishing world for over a century, is embarking on a significant technological transformation. We are implementing SAP as our cutting-edge Order-to-Cash platform, and the project is currently in the "Discovery Phase".

This is an exceptional opportunity to be a key part of our groundbreaking initiative as an SAP S/4HANA Implementation Project Manager. This is a temporary role for 6 months initially, with potential for long-term permanence. You will lead and manage complex projects across various business functions, utilizing your deep SAP expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the entire lifecycle of SAP S/4HANA implementation projects.
  2. Build, lead, and motivate cross-functional teams including internal resources, external consultants, and stakeholders.
  3. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables; develop project plans, timelines, and resource strategies.
  4. Manage activities across SAP S/4HANA modules, including Customer Service, Supply Chain, Finance, and Reporting.
  5. Oversee data migration and integration processes.
  6. Align business processes with SAP S/4HANA solutions through stakeholder collaboration.
  7. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues; implement contingency plans.
  8. Manage project budgets and report variances.
  9. Utilize Jira and Atlassian tools for planning, tracking, and managing project tasks.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field; PMP or Prince2 certification preferred.
  2. At least 5 years of experience managing complex SAP S/4HANA implementation projects.
  3. Proven success in leading multiple SAP S/4HANA projects.
  4. Expertise in Jira and Atlassian suite.
  5. Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  6. Excellent communication skills for complex information presentation.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Experience with Agile methodologies is advantageous.
  9. Knowledge of UK business practices and regulations.
Preferred:
  1. Experience in the publishing industry.
  2. Familiarity with additional SAP modules and technologies.
  3. APICS certification is a plus.
