Job summary

RTX Raytheon UK is seeking an SAP Finance Specialist to support SAP R/3 FI/CO/PS, MRP and manufacturing/SCM integration in a hybrid role across Glenrothes and Harlow. You will act as SME for SAP and SAP BW, train users, and drive process improvements while ensuring security and governance.

The role requires strong problem solving, stakeholder collaboration and experience in high-demand, mission-critical IT services, with ITIL awareness and 24x7 operations capability.

Qualifications

• Essential proven experience developing & implementing the SAP R/3 ERP system.
• Holds recognised financial qualifications to support their level of experience and to substantiate their knowledge of Finance.
• Experience in the analysis of GPD (Grouping, Pegging and Distribution) issues within the aerospace and defence industry is required.
• Strong, demonstrable experience with SAP ERP/ MRP with emphasis on product cost management.
• Demonstrated functional expertise with SAP R/3 FI/CO/PS and integration with SAP PP/MM/SD modules.
• SAP experience in a manufacturing and supply chain environment.
• Understanding IT Systems disciplines such as requirements, configuration management, change control, reliability analysis and quality management.
• Ability to lead business centric requirements discussions and translate into technical designs.
• Experience of providing high demand/mission critical systems on a 24x7 basis.
• Knowledge of Service Management disciplines, engagement, design, delivery and maintenance lifecycles.
• Demonstrable evidence of effective problem solving skills in complex support incidents.
• Excellent relationship skills for stakeholders.
• Experience delivering high demand business services within technology services environments.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to collaborate in virtual teams and with Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
• Appreciation of ITIL Functions & Processes.
• Business leadership experience with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of project and service delivery disciplines including business analysis and requirements gathering, resource planning, proposal creation.
• Full project lifecycle experience, user support & training.
• Preferably degree level education in software engineering; significant experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Review transactions and work with the business team to resolve errors.
• Manage financial calendars and SAP schedules.
• Provide training to users on business processes in SAP.
• Identify and scope system changes to improve processes.
• Define processes and procedures for transactions in the business.
• Prioritise defects with IT Technical System Experts and describe changes.
• Act as SME for Finance, SCM, Quality, Manufacturing and Commercial from IT perspective.
• Plan works with Head of ERP Services ensuring governance and information security.
