Lead Product Owner – SAP Finance Core (S / 4HANA)

About the Role

As a Lead Product Owner – SAP Finance Core, you will report directly to the Product Manager for Finance Risks and R2A while collaborating closely with the DevOps BAU team. You will be responsible for overseeing operations, defining strategy, and shaping the roadmap, solution design, and architecture for the SAP Finance Core domain within an S / 4HANA environment.

Your scope will cover Finance, Costing, JVA, Tax, Fixed Assets, and Project Systems, ensuring seamless functionality and alignment with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive business improvement by measuring and enhancing system performance.
• Enhance user experience by optimizing system usability, accessibility, and efficiency.
• Prioritize work and allocate resources effectively across internal teams and external DevOps teams.
• Provide subject matter expertise and leadership to technology projects, supporting BAU, change initiatives, and project execution.
• Conduct presentations and facilitate workshops, using storytelling techniques to engage stakeholders.
• Lead evidence-based decision-making through analysis and insights.
• Develop and maintain technology strategies and functional roadmaps for Finance Core applications, ensuring alignment with global technology standards and business goals.
• Oversee product development, defining value drivers and assessing investment opportunities for projects under the Finance Core Technology portfolio.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to manage problem resolution, business impact scoping, testing, and training requirements.

About You – Skills & Experience:

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and resolve conflicts.
• 10+ years of experience in SAP Finance — including GL, AP, AR, Costing (Product Costing & Material Ledger), JVA, Tax, Fixed Assets, and Project Systems.
• Deep understanding of Finance business processes and SAP system functionality.
• Hands-on experience with S / 4HANA; S / 4HANA implementation project experience is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead support teams, identify blockers, determine root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across BAU incidents, minor system enhancements, and large-scale projects.
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies is an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
