Murphy is recruiting for a SAP / Control Engineer 132KV EHV/HV to work for MUA, covering London and the south.

MUA Electricity stands as the foremost regulated independent provider of water and wastewater services, relishing ownership and operation of residential and commercial networks across England and Wales. With our client base continuously expanding, we are currently seeking additional support for our esteemed network engineering team.

A day in the life of a Murphy SAP / Control Engineer

  1. Responsible for the delivery of all 132KV EHV/HV network operations and control activities.
  2. Knowledge of switching on DNO/iDNO and private network 132KV EHV and HV networks.
  3. Issuing and receiving safety documents on the iDNO networks as applicable.
  4. Supporting power outage works across the plant, including project and contract management skills.
  5. Electrical engineering experience across 132KV EHV/HV/LV systems.
  6. Undertaking engineering studies, O&Ms, technical specifications, etc.
  7. Producing technical reports related to the electricity distribution network.
  8. Project management of large-scale Data Centres and Battery Storage sites.
  9. Acting as the primary contact for on-site engineers working on our iDNO network.
  10. Developing scoping documentation and Main Connections or Protection Diagrams (MC&P).
  11. Specifying and managing equipment such as relays, CTs, and VTs.
  12. Reviewing and assessing detailed designs, including SLDs, schematics, and protection systems.
  13. Experience in design or commissioning of power system protection at distribution levels 132KV EHV, HV, and LV on DNO/iDNO networks.
  14. Providing support for standby and out-of-hours fault and emergency responses.
