A leading consultancy in the UK is seeking an experienced SAP Consultant to enhance their procurement solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SAP Ariba, focusing on multi-catalogue procurement and spend control. You will be responsible for integrating supplier data and managing approval workflows, ensuring compliance with UK public procurement regulations. • Design and implement support for multi-catalogue procurement: internal, hosted, punch-out, and OCI-compliant formats.
• Enable hierarchical categorisation (e.g., CPV codes) with control over product access, imagery, and pricing refresh logic.
• Integrate catalogue items with inventory availability, replenishment rules, and user access controls.
• Deliver mobile-enabled catalogue search and requisitioning workflows.

Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) Enablement

• Configure full 3-way and 4-way matching workflows from requisition to payment.
• Enable spend capture by multiple dimensions including contract, supplier, cost centre, and property/site.
• Support non-PO purchases, exception handling, and blanket PO workflows.
• Integrate with supplier portals and Atamis for contract-aware procurement.
• Deliver budget and contract validations before requisition approval.
• Set up and customise supplier onboarding workflows based on type (e.g., SME, framework partner).
• Manage automated supplier registration, scoring, and performance tracking.
• Enable category/spend-limit controls and supplier visibility rules.
• Integrate supplier master data with ERP and contract management platforms.

Sourcing and Quote Management

• Support multi-quote capture and comparison using Ariba Sourcing or guided sourcing capabilities.
• Integrate awarded quotes directly into requisition or PO flows.
• Enable audit trails, evaluation criteria automation, and sourcing event templates.

Approval and Spend Control

• Configure complex approval workflows based on thresholds, policy rules, user roles, or escalation triggers.
• Enforce budget validation, dual sign-off, and exception routing for sensitive purchases.
• Manage approval policies for contracts, supplier changes, invoice releases, and utility billing exceptions.

Utilities and Rent Management

• Implement custom Ariba configurations or extend with connected modules to:
• Track utility spend, service charges, and vacancy-related cost leakage
• Allocate shared costs based on configurable tenancy rules
• Export billing data to Excel or analytics platforms for audit
• Trigger alerts for lease expiry, offboarding, or renegotiation milestones

Atamis and Third-Party System Integration

• Integrate Ariba with Atamis for contract data synchronisation, including bidirectional data flow.
• Define event-based and API-driven integrations with external systems (e.g., CAFM/FM systems).
• Enable in-app messaging and email workflows for supplier communications and stakeholder alerts.

Reporting and Analytics Configuration

• Deliver Ariba Spend Visibility and/or SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) dashboards for:
• Full lifecycle tracking (PR > PO > GRN > Invoice > Payment)
• Supplier and contract-level insights (spend leakage, waiver usage, performance KPIs)
• Budget and GL-based spend classifications (OPEX/CAPEX)
• Implement unique identifier mapping across systems (Ariba, ERP, Atamis) to support federated reporting.

Essential Experience and Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on SAP Ariba implementation experience, including at least two public sector projects.
• Deep expertise in Ariba Buying & Invoicing, Guided Buying, Supplier Lifecycle Management, and Sourcing.
• Experience with Ariba Network integration, punch-out catalogues, and OCI standards.
• Proficient in Ariba/ERP integration (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, ECC, via SAP CPI/CI, PI/PO or other middleware).
• Practical experience implementing approval chains, spend rules, and contract linkage across procurement flows.
• Working knowledge of NHS procurement systems, UK public procurement regulations, or Framework governance (CCS, G-Cloud, NHS SBS).

Desirable Qualifications and Tools

• SAP Ariba Certifications (Buying, Sourcing, Supplier Management, Integration)
• Understanding of Atamis and Jaggaer contract management tools.
• Familiarity with NHS SBS or Oracle Fusion ERP integrations.
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or Power BI for procurement reporting.
