The Role

As a SAP ABAP Technical Expert – Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting projects using the latest technologies in the CRM area.

Your responsibilities:

• Perform Techno-Functional analysis and design.
• SAP ABAP Technical Solution Design, development, and support.
• Join customer workshops and discuss functional requirements.
• Create technical design documents (TDD) based on discussions with business users.
• Ability to create technical design specifications based on functional requirements.
• Coordinate with offshore development teams to develop algorithms, batch schedulers, Portals, and Zones.
• Engage with multiple teams from various locations (e.g., Integration, DBA, technical, testing).
• Validate delivered artifacts against user requirements.
• Develop test scripts with testing teams and execute as needed.
• Deploy functionality from SIT to UAT, fix defects, and support user acceptance.
• Coordinate with SAP BASIS team for production deployment.
• Provide user training on functionalities as needed.
• Monitor support tickets through SDM tools, prioritize, and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with functional users and technical teams for resolutions.
• Support service extensions as needed.
• Map business processes with SAP, configure, and code according to customer requirements.

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

• Strong understanding of SAP ABAP RICEFW Objects.
• Proficiency in core ABAP and Object-Oriented ABAP (DDIC objects, Reports, Function modules, Module pool, Classes, Forms, Enhancements, IDOCs, BADIs, Webservices).
• Excellent debugging, performance tuning, and analytical skills.
• Experience with SAP Workflow, creating/modifying workflows, troubleshooting failures.
• Knowledge of IDOCs, interfaces testing with SAP PI and third-party systems.
• Ability to implement technical solutions using best practices and custom logic.
• Root cause analysis skills for live SAP issues.
• Experience with debugging custom ABAP logic (BADIs, programs, replication, BAPIs).
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Experience in testing solutions across business scenarios.
• Functional knowledge of the utility industry.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and ABAP on HANA.
• Experience with managing utility customers.
• Stakeholder management skills.
