Job description

Flexible People Ltd are recruiting multiple Sanitation Van Drivers for our prestigious client based at their Atherton Depot, serving Central Manchester/Wigan.

This is an ongoing Monday - Friday position with the potential to become a permanent member of staff.

As a Sanitation Van Driver, you will be responsible for servicing various washroom equipment, including feminine hygiene units, nappy waste systems, air freshener systems, and vending machines. You will deliver services and goods to customer sites in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner. Acting as an ambassador for our client's business, excellent customer service skills are required.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service)
  • Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
  • Must be over 21 years old, with a minimum of two years' experience driving a 3.5t vehicle
  • No more than 6 points on your driving license, with no DD, DR, or NI convictions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily vehicle checks before starting customer service visits
  • Complete all service schedules as allocated
  • Ensure all paperwork for services and deliveries is checked and signed off
  • Responsible for waste removal and disposal from client premises
  • Adhere to all H&S requirements, including manual handling and compliance with Working Time and Driving Time Directives

Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to organize and plan workload independently
  • Work under your own initiative in a standalone role
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Pay rate is £12.60 per hour. Candidates must be willing to work full-time.
