Job summary

Join Hensall Co-op as a Sanitation Operator in our Ready Meals Plant. We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our Hensall Food’s team as a Sanitation Operator for our Ready Meals Plant. This position will primarily focus on washing and sanitizing equipment, utensils and production areas.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform washing and sanitizing of production equipment, utensils and areas throughout the shift as needed as per sanitation program requirements and or directed by the CRM management.
  • Perform shift sanitation tasks ensuring RM equipment and areas are cleaned after the run as per written sanitation programs.
  • Dismantle and set up production equipment before and after sanitation is completed.
  • Understand the operation of CRM equipment such as fillers, sealers, printers, conveyors.
  • Provide proper cleaning directions to the support sanitation staff, and ensure that all assigned tasks are completed properly, according to schedule.
  • Complete/assist in the completion of sanitation checklists/paperwork as per the sanitation program.
  • Work in other areas/on the line in CRM plant during the shift as directed by the Production Manager HFI.
  • Work with Production Manager HFI in implementing sanitation KPIs to accurately measure and track items related to RM production.
  • Assist in executing continuous improvement plan for RM operations.
  • Assist in developing and updating S.O.P. for proper sanitation of the equipment.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures for equipment and machinery in processing and during sanitation activities.
  • Follow all HC Health and Safety (especially wearing proper sanitation related PPE’s), Environmental, Quality and HACCP policies and procedures.
  • Be aware of and always report all potential quality issues.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Production Manager HFI.

Required Qualifications:

Post-secondary education in an Agricultural or Business-related program
